Who runs Determined to Rise Animal Foundation (D.T.R.A.F.)?

D.T.R.A.F. is a volunteer ran rescue. Unfortunately, our volunteers have a life and kids, so we can only sometimes respond promptly, but we will always do our best!

Do we Adopt out of our Three-Hour Radius?

Yes, we do it on a case-by-case basis. Only some dogs are candidates; however, we make that decision based on the evaluation of the rescued animals in our program. Dogs mass-produced with limited exposure/proper socialization are only sometimes a candidate. Having dogs in question within a three-hour radius will ensure we can adequately work with adopters/take the dog back if it is not working out.

How Much are the Adoption Fees?

Our adoption fees range from $350-$650 depending on the future needs of the dog (higher maintenance dogs fee may vary). For more information about our Guardian program, email dtranimalfoundation@gmail.com.

If I Currently a Foster Can I Still Adopt?

Yes! If you are looking to adopt, fostering is the best way. Our fosters have five days to decide if they want to "foster fail" the dog they are fostering. Fostering first means they get the first choice before the dog gets listed on our website and applications are processed!

What is the Cost to Foster a Dog?

FREE! We supply everything including 24/7 support!

I Filled out an Application, do I get the Dog?

No. While we will always do our best to accommodate, that isn't always realistic. We have a very experienced adoption team who works with our foster coordinators in matching the dog to its best-suited home. Click Here to see our Adoption Guidelines

Do I have to Complete the Entire Applicatiuon to be Considered?

YES! We can only process completed apps! We realize the app is long, but we pride ourselves in advocating and providing the absolute best homes for the animals in our rescue.
